Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurological disorder affecting an estimated 1 million people in the United States and 7 to 10 million people worldwide.
PDTrialTracker.info provides Parkinson's patients, families, researchers, health care providers, and other interested members of the PD community with analysis of ongoing PD clinical trials and observational studies throughout the world in order to help:
PDTrialTracker.info captures trial data from ClinicalTrials.gov, the largest database of privately and publicly funded clinical studies conducted around the world on a wide range of diseases. Launched in February 2000, ClinicalTrials.gov is maintained by the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Trial data on ClinicalTrials.gov is submitted directly by each study's sponsor or principal investigator. To date, over 3900 Parkinson's disease trials have been listed on ClinicalTrials.gov, with about 1000 of these currently active.
